Traveling On

We put in a ten hour day on the road today. We are now in the Best Western in Owasso, OK. Dawit is fast asleep and Jess and I are looking at each other over computer screens. I have to take a moment praise my boy for being so good today. The A/C knocked off about an hour into our trip. For nine hours we were without air conditioning in the car and the temperatures soared to over 100 degrees. Even in the midst of that misery Dawit never fussed, not even a peep. You can’t ask for better than that.

Tomorrow we will arrive in Lebanon, IN to get ready for Hopefest 2011. Our friends at Hope for His Children are putting on the event to raise awareness and funds for orphaned, abandoned, and impoverished children. On Saturday we’ll be at Hopefest talking about Ethiopia, children, water issues, and whatever else comes up.
